Popularity (Or lack thereof)

Thanks to everyone who came out to the August Anecdote event. From a prom king saboteur to a lunch lady who couldn’t keep the kids away on buffalo chicken day, we heard some great stories about popularity, or lack thereof. Mostly lack thereof, actually.

A reoccurring theme of the night’s stories was certainly high school, everyone’s favorite time. And the stories pointed out the different ways we view popularity at various times in our lives. Revelations were shared, including a personal favorite from our friend Avery, who ended her story with the wise words, “Popularity is completely overrated.”

Big huge thanks to all the storytellers who had the guts to tell their humorous and heart-wrenching stories of popularity, and lack thereof, last night. Thanks also to the most excellent audience of enthusiastic listeners.

Anecdote Storytelling happens each month with the help and support of many folks - shout outs to audio guru Nate, our first-ever intern Chris, and the Monkey House folks, who always make us feel welcome.
